ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man is facing arson charges for two separate trailer fires. Police say Michael J. Kabler, 49, ignited a fire at the Sunset Trailer Park on Saturday and is responsible for a fire on May 18. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! On Saturday, the Colonie Police Department responded to 2177 Central Avenue for a trailer on fire. The Stanford Heights Fire Department, the Midway Fire Department, and the Colonie Village Fire Department extinguished the fire.Police believe a homeless person may have been occupying the trailer. Kabler was located nearby and determined to be the culprit. Kabler was also questioned about the fire on May 18 in the parking lot of a business on Railroad Avenue. ST. LOUIS - A teenager is behind bars and accused of a shooting last month in north St. Louis County that happened moments after a haircut. Prosecutors have charged Kenneth Armour, 18, of Jennings, with first-degree assault and armed criminal action in connection with the investigation. He is currently jailed in St. Louis County on a $250,000 cash-only bond. The victim suffered an abdominal gunshot wound. A warrant was issued for Armour's arrest last Thursday. He has a preliminary hearing over his charges set for Oct. 31. Alexandar Georgiev was everything the Avalanche could have hoped for and more in his first season in Colorado.The Avs needed a replacement for Stanley Cup-winning goalie Darcy Keumper, and Georgiev proved to be a breakout star in his first season an an NHL starter. A man who has spent 10 years at the Whiting Forensic Hospital after murdering a man with an ax and eating his brain and an eyeball has been allowed temporary overnight leaves.Tyree Lincoln Smith’s application for temporary leave to include overnights was granted Aug. 25 by the state Psychiatric Security Review Board. Four of the six board members were present for the approval.“Mr. Tyree Smith was granted the second phase of his Temporary Leave on August 25, 2023.
