BEACH PARK, Ill. (WGN) — A man died early Monday after punching the window of an Illinois bar after getting kicked out.At around 2 a.m., authorities responded to a report of an injured person at a bar located in Beach Park. ‘Days of Our Lives’ actor Cody Longo died from alcohol abuse, report says Following a preliminary investigation, authorities believe Jonathan Banks, 32, of Chicago, got into a verbal altercation with another person at the bar and was escorted out by security.After being escorted outside, authorities said Banks punched his fist through a window of the bar. He suffered a severe laceration to his arm and was transported to Vista Medical Center East in critical condition.Banks died in the emergency room at the hospital. HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- Officials in Hays County filed additional charges against a man registered as a sex offender after finding evidence of an additional victim.Hays County Sheriff’s Office said it learned 24-year-old Diego Alejandro Cortez, who was arrested earlier this month in connection with harboring a runaway child and child trafficking, also possessed pictures and videos that depicted child pornography. AUSTIN (KXAN) – An Austin non-profit said it will launch its Hot Summer Nights festival on Thursday. The Red River Cultural District said more than 100 local musicians will take part in the free, three-day music and arts festival at more than a dozen venues across downtown.According to the district, Hot Summer Nights was originally created in 2017 to provide additional revenue to district members, as well as paid opportunities for musicians and artists in the traditionally slower summer months. The early morning storm chance will primarily be along and south of I-44 in Missouri and I-64 in Illinois through 8:00 a.m. The chance for severe storms looks slight, but this was the area hit the hardest by heavy rain Wednesday, so we’ll watch the already full streams and creeks closely. We’ll watch for additional scattered thunderstorms across the entire area Thursday afternoon as the front moves through.
